The newly expanded Blackhawks Ice Center now spans more than 250,000 total square feet of community hockey space, state-of-the-art training facilities, and versatile areas for the best athletes in the world, rising stars and the next generation of players. The facility remains the official training home to the Chicago Blackhawks and will soon serve as the permanent home of the Chicago Steel – the region’s highly successful United States Hockey League (USHL) team, which was acquired by Wirtz Corporation in 2023.
Blackhawks Ice Center is part of the ongoing reimagination of the potential of hockey that the Blackhawks have embarked on, transforming the area and showcasing the Blackhawks commitment to both growing the game and improving the West Side. This cutting-edge adaptability makes the arena a dynamic destination for year-round programming.
Our state-of-the-art facility offers beginner hockey programs, adult leagues, youth programming, public skate sessions, and elite-level tournaments, while also serving as a home for youth and high school hockey clubs. Beyond the ice, we host fundraising events, special programs, private events and community initiatives, making Blackhawks Ice Center a place where athletes, fans, families, and the community come together to celebrate.
